Wait

Hey Bloggers!

We all have waited, waited for something and someone. When we wait, we are either ordered to stay put or do something. When we are asked to watch and wait, what happens? We tend to get impatient, frustrated, and angry. Several questions run through our beautiful minds: “What happens next?” “When will it happen” “Is it even worth waiting for?” These phrases fill our minds, and we lose hope. We lose sight of the bigger things God has in store for us. We start to settle and force situations that are not part of His plan, causing a delay to our destination.

Then an offer comes. Someone comes. Something comes. And we are thrilled because finally they have arrived. However, they are part of the trial. They are part of God’s challenge for you, and they are not where you are meant to stay. Our hearts are excited because we made ourselves believe that “this is it”, but they are merely a trial. So, when we are back to waiting, we question God’s plans, making us believe that maybe we have to do something or maybe we are not doing enough. However, no matter how hard we try, we still end up waiting.

Waiting for a response, that flicker of hope that lets us know that our wait will soon be over. Make believe signals we craft in our minds giving us something to hold on to, while we are walking into uncertainty. The only thing we are definite about is the fact that something or someone is worth the wait, and even that is not enough to satisfy our thirst for answers. We want to examine the specifics, the who, what, where, when, why, how…

You see waiting is an oxymoron. We wait and we feel constant, however, what is going on in our minds is really a roller coaster. For time it is constant, linear ticking of clock, but for our impatient minds and hearts we are on a ride of hope, fear, promise, and despair. The truth of the matter is in fact: you are not just simply waiting; your faith and patience are being polished. You are being prepared for the next big thing.

Staying Sane: EMOTIONS

Hey wordpressers,

What makes you happy? Many of us may say music. Music definitely affects our mood immensely. To others, happiness comes from nature. The sun shining, trees swaying, rain dropping.. Many people feel happiness with the positive energy they received from the people around them. The flow of optimism around the world they surround themselves gives them this lively energy. Others find happiness in peace. Quiet and contentment brings joy into their life. We all have our own happiness.

However, do you believe sadness is necessary for us to appreciate our happiness? That maybe if joy is in continuum, we may feel bored of it, or we may not even like its presence… Meaning we may try to tear ourselves up, bringing out our insecurities and imperfections, just to feel sane.

Being happy all day every day may make us feel robotic, where the only emotions we can show to the world are smiles and laughters. We forget that there are other emotions out there that makes the world go round. Emotions that defines us as human beings.

So if you have been sad, angry, poker faced for so long now, do not worry. You need to feel those to appreciate happiness in the future. These emotions also enables us to soak in this important lesson in life called perseverance.

Perseverance are not only for the sad ones. They are also for the people who are agitated, waiting, or even the people who are just riding along with life… These emotions enables us to feel and learn in life. Happiness, sadness, anger, neutrality, and mixed emotions keeps us sane, for our heart feels and our minds process…

Why do we feel?

Hey wordpressers,

Why do we feel? This question you can answer based on experience, science, and psychology. Different thoughts run through our minds triggering some kind of emotional response or sometimes it is not even the thoughts, sometimes concentration gives you this sense of relaxation. I took a semester of yoga and joined a couple of yoga classes before, and the main goal is usually clearing the mind.

When your mind is clear, you still feel. You feel refreshed or sometimes you even get to a complete mode of relaxation that you fall asleep. Hopefully not in yoga class, but some do it unintentionally. Hehe!

However, when there is absolutely nothing on your mind, for that quick moment you are pain and problem free. It is when your body is finally rested. These are the times when for once, you stopped worrying and focused on a fresh new slate.

So we feel. We feel any sensation clinging to our skins, every word shot to our hearts, and the touches sends messages to our minds. These feelings triggering emotions causing tears, laughter, love, and hate, that when misused shuts down. So make use of those emotions carefully and take care of yourself, because when abused, numbness will take over, and those are never fun…

Writers: A Gift from the Heavens

Hey wordpressers,

I just finished reading “The Book Thief”. I read it for exactly a week, and just finished it a few minutes ago. I have not watched the movie yet, but I am planning on watching it this week, or perhaps later tonight.

My plan is to start on a new book again. So far this year, I completed two books. I loved books, and am glad I share that feeling with other fellow readers. I cannot forget once, before I was into reading, that I put the phrases, “I’d rather sleep than read”, when asked about my favorite books on my Facebook page. However, now… it seems quite the opposite. I like to read, and would even skipped nap times just to read.

To the authors and writers out there, thank you. Thank You for giving me new experiences, for taking me back and/or forward in time, with your published documents. Writers are a gift from the heavens. The readers are blessed to have your God-given talent come into our lives. Once again, thank you writers and authors.

Savory Moments

Hey wordpressors,

Savoring moments are important. It enables us to cherish the world. People savor moments through closing their eyes and memorizing how they feel when that moment comes. Photographers capture them through their cameras. Writers scribble in their pads to describe how one moment changed their lives.

Savory is vital to our living here on earth. This is the time where we stop to cherish what we have in that certain moment. Some of us forget this part of life, leading to regrets and despair in the future. We are trapped to life’s demands with our busy schedules that special moments have become scarce in our living.

Savor that moment: moments where you feel happy and complete, because it is temporary. These moments are the very same moments turned into memories in the future. Memories stored in our minds, reminding the potential of life to be a memory and a prospective.

Comfort of Familiarity

This is my first blog, and it is already getting personal. Ha! Definitely making the best of this.

I have my shared moments of regrets, brokenness, and crazy. Those never left my mind though. They are not just a memory where people can retrieve over time. Flashbacks force me to remember them, and it feels like my mind keeps going through them. For whatever reason, I do not know, but maybe I have a lot more lessons to learn than I think.

They usually make me feel bitter about myself. Because those oh… so… precious memories are not very precious. They are my imperfections, faults, and sometimes the good times too. Well… about 90% precious and 10% “junk”.

Writing I noticed that my prose and poems consisted of the past. Probably because I have never been to the future before, so there is not much to talk about in the fast forward realm other than my goals, hopes, and dreams, and I had a lot of that growing up, as I scribble on my paper on “what I want to become when I grow up” in elementary school.

However, the past… that I could retrieve and talk about. Even if every single one of my will is against it. I seem to focus on the ancient history of life and events. Probably because even though the past is excruciating to watch and remember, they are familiar and my mind finds comfort in familiarity oh… so… very much. So I guess you could say that my mind is obsessed with the comfort of the excruciating past. Yup, that sounds about right.

You will be reading a lot of past and present experiences and futures hopes in this blog. Mostly mine, but they are always universal. I do not go into personal details about my own experience, generality is such a beauty, so why waste it?
